Improvements to Village Entrance

You may have noticed some activity on the open space opposite The Trading Post this week, the Parish Council set aside some funding to improve the space and operatives from Congleton Town Council will be carrying out the work. The area has been fenced off in preparation for work to start properly next week.

During the planning process the Amenities Committee have been mindful of the importance of Nell’s bench, which will remain in place and will be cleaned, and have communicated this to the contractors.  The community can be confident that the work will be carried out with sensitivity.

Once completed the area will have additional seating, a new large planter and a bike rack.  The decorated stones which are currently there will also be displayed and will allow further additional stones to be placed in future.

The Council is looking forward to seeing the work completed in readiness for spring.
